Linetec Names
Jon Close as Director, Commercial & Architectural Sales
Wausau, Wis. (November 2005) – Linetec,
the nation’s largest independent high-performance architectural
metals finishing company, promoted Jon Close to director of
architectural and commercial sales. As a member of the company’s
executive leadership team, Close will report directly to Linetec’s
president, Rick Marshall.
Marshall praises Close’s leadership
saying: “Jon has demonstrated extreme
dedication, high-energy level, can-do attitude, and
operational/technical knowledge.”
In his new role, Close
will oversee the company’s outside sales, inside sales, estimating
and marketing departments for its architectural and commercial
business. His direct reports will be Wendy Taylor, manager of inside
sales; Tammy Schroeder, marketing specialist; Tony Pupp, national
sales manager; and regional sales managers Rob Seils and Scott
Spaid.
“I look forward to
working with this dynamic team of individuals,” says Close. “Linetec
has positioned themselves as the market leader with anodize, liquid
paint and powder finishes along with a number of value added
services. We offer the customer a one-stop shop for their finishing
needs. I am honored to lead the effort in promoting awareness of
these services.”
With nearly a decade of
experience in the finishing industry, Close previously served as
Linetec’s regional sales manager for architectural sales, as well as
its commercial sales manager where he identified and developed
finishing opportunities beyond architectural applications. Prior to
joining the company, Close worked in sales for a Michigan-based
company in the automotive and commercial finishing industry.
Now living in Wausau, Wis., with his wife
and son, Close spends his free time enjoying outdoor activities such
as skiing, boating and hiking.
