seeking Associates for the following positions:
VP, Finance
(November 27, 2007)
Responsible
for providing strategic leadership, driving operational
improvements and day-to-day management of the business unit
finance function as follows:
Essential
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, direct and monitor business unit finance processes
and performance, support business unit operations by providing
timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and
data, proactive analysis and champion – on a self-initiated basis,
detects potentials risks and opportunities.
Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others,
To oversee and
monitor internal controls and processes within the business unit
to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal
regulations, GAAP, corporate finance policy and Sarbanes-Oxley
requirements.
Will participate
on the executive management team, providing accurate analysis and
financial review and make recommendations on key business
decisions.
To serve as primary contact to corporate
headquarters, providing information on business unit past, present
and expected performance.
Sets
direction and is actively involved with improvement initiatives
outside of Finance, oversees budget, forecast and reconciliation
activities, all internal and external audit activity for the
business unit, participates in and delegates a wide variety of
special projects to drive profitability, enhance growth and avoid
unnecessary cost.
Supervises and assigns work duties within the accounting function,
engages in the more critical and confidential aspects of business
unit accounting, and manages and reviews (as necessary) all
accounting/finance activities for accounts payable, payroll,
credit and collections, cost and general ledger accounting.
Qualifications
and Requirements:
Education and
Experience –
·
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
·
7+
years experience in multiple finance functions (A/P, A/R, G/L,
Audit, Tax,
etc.)
·
Related work experience in a public manufacturing entity
·
CMA,
CPA or MBA designation desirable
·
Project management experience
·
Supervisory experience
Special Skills
-
·
Broad conceptual judgment, initiative and ability to deal with
complex
accounting issues
·
Ability to plan and manage multiple projects
·
Strong customer and operations orientation
